How fertility is a demographic factor

Fertility is understood as a reproductive function of both males and females. The reproductive function of males and females begins at around 11-12 years in females and around 12-13 years of age in males. Female has limited infertility because she is fertile and able to give birth only ruin her reproductive period i.e. during 12-49 years age period. A male, on the other hand, is capable of making a woman pregnant his death once he starts producing sperms since his puberty.

Fertility is the physical capacity of male and female bt fertility capacity is totally reserved in female because female is capable of being pregnant, delivering a baby and breast-feeding baby. Fecundity is also a similar term as fertility but fecundity is the physiological or biological capacity of male and female which cannot be measured from outside.

Fertility is measured by the number of live births. An infecund male cannot make a woman pregnant and an infecund female cannot conceive or deliver a live baby. Measures of fertility are- Crude Bith Rate, General Fertility Rate, Age-Specific Fertility Rate, and Total Fertility Rate.
